Learn how to airbrush your 3D models like a pro...

EVEN IF... you’re a beginner with no art

experience and you have no idea how to start.

I created and designed the Airbrush Essentials for Beginners course to lay out the foundations of airbrushing 3d printed models in an exercise-driven, step-by-step format.

My from “square one” approach will teach you not only how to use your airbrush and painting techniques like other courses do, but I also teach you how to:

Choose the right setup and gear for your budget and lifestyle

Properly clean and care for your airbrush so it lasts longer

Troubleshoot common airbrush problems such as clogs and spatter

Accurately choose the PSI to use with your specific airbrush and paint

Precisely thin any paint for use in your airbrush - even cheap craft paints

Set up your workspace with safety in mind

and more...

What Students are Saying...

"“I discovered Chris while searching for a 3D printing glossary, which led me to his beginner series on the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon on YouTube. Impressed by his teaching style, I joined his community and eventually subscribed to his Patreon. I had always wanted to learn airbrushing but couldn't find the right resources on YouTube; they were either too advanced or didn't engage me. When he released his airbrushing course, I immediately jumped on it. It provided the foundational skills in a clear and straightforward manner, exactly what I had been looking for. His direct teaching style made concepts easy to understand, and the course content was structured to build up skills progressively. His approach was effective and engaging. What sets Chris apart is not just his teaching but also his willingness to support students in his community. This support system enhances the learning experience significantly. If you're interested in learning airbrushing, I highly recommend Chris’s course. It’s practical, well-structured, and taught by someone who truly knows how to teach.” -Lyra

“Thanks so much, Chris. You literally got me into the hobby and painting as a whole. I didn’t have a single creative or artistic bone in my body before I saw that video where you painted that Sonic 3DXM model with basic paints and brushes. I now completely agree painting is a skill not a talent. I keep telling my friends that who say, “I could never do that.” BS yeah you can.” - Mark

"I've been been an art instructor for over 5 years, I always like checking out beginner courses to find ones that I can send students to when they are just starting out on things I don't cover. I found this course to be incredibly good, its well laid out and easy to understand while still having a good technical level, it also covers a lot of things that I have never seen covered. It get's my seal of approval, I'll be sending students here in the future.” -Drezrale

“I don’t know…I’m not very artsy, and I definitely don’t have the natural talent to paint my own models. I’ll mess them up for sure.”
I see some form of this statement every.single.day in my comments section and in my private communities.

There’s a myth circulating on the interwebs that you NEED a natural-born talent to paint your own 3D printed models. Otherwise, you MUST hire a professional artist to do a commission piece.

I’m here to bust this myth and teach you the skills you need to paint your own models worthy of a place your personal collection without spending hundreds of dollars on a commissioned piece of artwork.

You can learn how to airbrush like the pros you watch on YouTube. It’s not some mystical talent granted to only the select few but it’s a skill you can develop and hone.
But Chris,  airbrushing is super expensive to get into. what if I don’t like it?
As with any hobby, getting started with airbrushing can involve a significant financial investment. But the good news is that you don’t have to fork out a ton of cash on the best of the best when you are first getting started.

I started out on a cheap little setup that had a ton of quirks, and I had to use my skill to overcome the inherent shortcomings of my lower-quality airbrush.

As a bonus to this course, I am also going to give you my GBB (Good, Better, Best) Gear List to make it as easy as possible for you to get the gear that fits your budget and needs.

It is also always a risk we take when we start something new to know if we are going like it or not. I have a whole closet full of tried and dumped hobbies that both my wife and I have gotten into over the years. Our kids are now adding to the piles…

I digress....

Even if you find that you only like hand painting your models, having an airbrush on hand is still very useful for priming, base colors, and highlighting.

“I have an airbrush but only use it for priming and highlighting. I’d love to learn how to do fancy airbrush work but I don’t know if I can.”

So many beginners are in this boat. They use an airbrush for their 3D models regularly but only to cover larger surface areas. They are too afraid to mess up their models by trying to mimic the techniques of master artists.

I get it. Before I started airbrush painting I had shelves of unfinished prints that I wanted to paint. But some of the models especially the super detailed resin ones wouldn’t have been done justice by just hand painting.

I was terrified to mess up my gorgeous resin prints. I mean it was hard enough to get them to print that perfectly to begin with. I left them for months before I got brave enough to even try to airbrush them.

So I get it. I really do. It’s why I designed this course as practice and exercise-driven content. I’m teaching you the techniques and then giving you interactive practice exercises to sharpen your skills.
